Lars D. Thompson

Board Certified Urologist
Lars D. Thompson, M.D., completed a B.A., B.Sc., M.D. and Urology residency at Queen’s University in Kingston Ontario Canada. He is a certified Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Urology (FRCPSC).
Dr. Thompson serves on the boards of the North Country Physicians Organization (NCPO), the Accountable Care Organization of NCPO, and Resolve, a third-party billing administrator. He is and has served as county President and district Chairman in the Ontario Medical Association as well as President of St. Lawrence Medical Society. Dr. Thompson’s professional memberships include the College of Physicians of Ontario, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, American Urological Association, American Medical Association, Medical Society State of New York, and American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M).
Dr. Thompson enjoys general urology and has a special interest in medical ethics, stone disease, voiding dysfunction, urological oncology, male health, sexual medicine, and metabolic optimization for athletic performance.
Dr. Thompson and his office staff have served the St. Lawrence County community for over 20 years prior to joining A.M.P. in 2022 and will continue to provide services from his office in Canton, NY.
