Associated Medical Professionals of NY (AMP) is collaborating with Fuse Oncology to launch a proof of concept of FuseRx, an end-to-end clinical workflow platform for radiation oncology, at AMP’s Center of Advanced Radiation Excellence in Syracuse. The initiative is being led by Steven E. Finkelstein, MD, DABR, FACRO, FASTRO, National Director of the Center of Advanced Radiation Excellence and Director of Radiation Oncology Research for AMP and U.S. Urology Partners. The project will explore whether bringing physicians, physicists, dosimetrists, therapists and nurses together within a more unified workflow can help move prostate cancer patients from consultation to treatment more efficiently and consistently.
Dr. Finkelstein continues to play a prominent role in advancing radiation oncology and prostate cancer care.
He was named a Fellow of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) in July 2026, serves on the American College of Radiation Oncology’s Board of Chancellors and chairs the board of ACRO’s Luther Brady Foundation. Speaking about the FuseRx initiative, Dr. Finkelstein emphasized the importance of reducing delays between diagnosis and treatment: “When radiation is the right answer, the patient shouldn’t wait while paperwork moves between systems.”
