A.M.P. Radiation Oncology, a division of Associated Medical Professionals of NY, PLLC, is accredited by the American College of Radiology.
Our mission is to provide the best treatment available to our patients in the most compassionate way utilizing the most advanced, proven technology. Our technology includes state-of–the art Varian Linear Accelerator Treatment Machines including the Trilogy® System. The linear accelerators are equipped to deliver high quality treatments, such as IGRT (Image Guided Radiation Therapy) and IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy) including RapidArc® rotational therapy. RapidArc® technology is utilized to deliver precise treatment in a minimal amount of time and is used to treat prostate, bladder and head and neck cancers. As one of the earlier adopters of this technology, A.M.P. Radiation Oncology has become one of the most experienced users in the country. Additionally, for lung cancer patients, A.M.P. Radiation Oncology has an SBRT program (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy). SBRT is an extremely precise short course of treatment for early stage lung cancer patients, A.M.P. also offers high dose rate treatment with Elekta’s Nucletron High-Dose Afterloader for our breast cancer patients. This treatment is used for early stage breast cancer. It is a localized treatment offering the convenience of a short course of treatment delivered over five days. A.M.P. Radiation Oncology is committed to stay abreast of the latest technology to allow our patients to receive the individualized quality of care they deserve.
A.M.P Radiation Oncology treated its first patient in January 2007 in Syracuse, New York. A major expansion began in November 2011 to bring about our second facility in New Hartford, N.Y. The New Hartford site has been fully operational since April 2012.

A.M.P. Radiation Oncology offers the complete integrated Varian treatment package, making it one of the only sites regionally to do so , allowing for seamless connectivity between each component of the treatment process, from design and calculation to the final treatment of the patient, thereby reducing any risk for error. Varian is heralded as the leader in the radiation world of technology.
The Varian treatment machines deliver IGRT, or "image-guided radiation therapy". IGRT uses diagnostic images to guide and sculpt the radiation beam. IGRT is used in conjunction with IMRT, or "intensity modulated radiation therapy". The combination of the two, IGRT and IMRT allows for increased total doses of radiation which can be targeted specifically and precisely to the tumor with the intension of minimizing side effects and encouraging higher cure rates.
The A.M.P. Radiation Oncology staff includes a full complement of well qualified professionals, including two full time physicists, experienced dosimetrists and a team of therapists and nurses led by our board certified Radiation Oncologists:
