Description Overview:
This position will be responsible for providing high quality patient care to urology patients in a physician's office setting. The PA/NP will work in collaboration with physicians in an innovative and progressive health care environment.
Duties:
- Assesses patient health status through evaluation of medical history and comprehensive exam.
- Performs screening and diagnostic testing and procedures.
- Participates in active patient teaching relevant to patient concerns and diagnoses.
- Assists in the formulation and implementation of the highest quality plan of patient care.
- Assists in identifying and managing acute and chronic illnesses in accordance with established protocols.
- Institutes and provides continuity of care as identified by practice standards.
- Maintains and applies a working knowledge of medical documentation and correct billing procedures.
Education and licensure:
Must possess Bachelor's degree and appropriate certification and NYS licensing for Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of health education theory and practice; Knowledge of current principles and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment; Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories; Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community; Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures; Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements; Knowledge of quality, safety, and infection control standards.

Medical Dosimetrist (F/T)

A.M.P. Radiation Oncology is currently seeking a Certified Medical Dosimetrist for its growing practice. A.M.P. Radiation Oncology is a fully integrated Varian facility.
Candidates must have a working knowledge of radiation treatment machines and equipment. Must have experience in all types of external beam planning, especially IMRT.
Candidates should also have a working knowledge of brachytherapy procedures and planning. A minimum of three years CMD experience is mandatory. Eclipse treatment planning experience is preferred.
